ZCA has been awarded a £39,600 grant by Great British Energy Community Fund to appraise Sustainable Energy System Options |
This funding marks an important step for our village. It is supporting a comprehensive assessment of Ashwell’s current and future energy needs, alongside identifying practical opportunities to reduce our carbon footprint through local energy generation and efficiency improvements. |
ZCA, a volunteer-led group supported by Ashwell Parish Council, is working to help the community move towards a more sustainable, low-carbon future. As part of this project, we have appointed Scene, a specialist consultancy in community energy, to carry out the research and provide recommendations. |
Why this matters • Better understanding of local energy use and future demand • Identification of cost-saving and carbon-reducing opportunities • Support for community-led solutions to the climate challenge |
We look forward to sharing updates and findings with the community as the project progresses with a full report to be presented at a public meeting during the summer. |
Please get in touch via our contact page if you would like to know more |
